If that sounds like you, then you've landed in the right place. The Hartford is seeking a Rally Tool Developer to join our Technology Practices Team. You will support the enterprise Agile Center of Enablement by performing hands-on development work in Rally using Java
Script, HTML & CSS to expand the Agile Rally tool capabilities. You will also use Web Services APIs to connect externally, customize displays & outputs, and create custom apps that extend the current enterprise subscription. You will work with the Rally SDK to develop applications that extend and customize The Hartford's Rally subscription and will become proficient with the Rally App Builder (a Node.js command line utility for building apps using the Rally SDK).You will utilize the Visual Studio Code IDE to code, build, debug, and deploy Rally custom applications using the Rally App Catalog. Utilizing your understanding of how to evaluate and improve performance of users experiences, you will partner with peers and business partners, interact with Customers to understand their requirements and use your strong understanding of Asynchronous Programming concepts to develop detailed application designs using proven best practices and provide solutions to meet their needs and resolve issues in a timely manner. You will have the opportunity to work in an Agile Environment and on cross-functional project teams using Kanban or Scrum methodologies. You will have the opportunity to design, build, and maintain internal reports, processes, and analyses utilizing Tableau and other BI technologies such as Business Objects, MSBI, etc. Managing a variety of data sources, you will develop reports using MS SQL code for data extraction and manipulation; BI tools will be used for the presentation layer.
QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years front end programming experience. Strong experience with front-end application development tools, techniques and implementations, including technologies such as Node.js, NPM, Angular, etc. Minimum of 3+ years of experience with Java
Script, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, JSON, and data integrations. Experience using Rally or similar Agile tools (e.g. Jira) desired. Familiarity with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, best practices and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Nexus, etc. An avid learner, independent with excellent problem-solving skills. Willingness and proven ability to learn new technologies/methodologies and apply them. Passionate about mentoring peer developers, providing code reviews, etc. Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently to design and deliver business solutions. Ability to prioritize work based on value, risk, and dependencies. Ext JS experience is a plus. Insurance Product knowledge a plus. Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
