Sr. Programmer Analyst, Application Development

The primary purpose and function of the Sr. Programmer Analyst, Application Development is to provide technical leadership to the development team for completing projects as assigned by the Practice. This position is a critical role in the design of new and enhanced features to Custom Enterprise Applications working closely with Enterprise Application Development managers and the engineering team to ensure the product features are delivered on time with high quality. The primary technologies used by the Enterprise Application Development Team are C#, .NET, HTML5 frameworks, Angular.js and MS SQL Server. Essential

Responsibilities

And Tasks
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Enterprise Application Development Team, working to design, estimate, develop, test, and troubleshoot solutions.
- Collaborate with architect to understand the long-term technology roadmap, ensure that each product release aligns with current technology standards while positioning the product to evolve to meet the future needs of the Practice.
- Conduct code reviews to enforce design decisions, coding standards, and UI standards.
- Coordinate integration testing efforts and deployment of builds to test labs.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Application managers and Development leads to create work assignments, providing input to the project schedule.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Application Development core team to improve SDLC processes.
- Plan and report activities and progress on assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with the architect and development teams to implement the architecture.
- Perform other job duties as assigned. Special Working Conditions

- Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.

Education

And/or Training
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Five years of programming experience in building, testing and documenting applications along with using C# programming language, .Net frameworks, Design Patterns, Unity, HTML5 frameworks, WPF, WCF, SOA, IIS 7, SQLServer 2008 or better, unit testing, and TFS required.
- Demonstrated experience as a technical lead on a .Net project required.
