- Software Developer 3 About our team Oracle GBU Cloud Service (GBUCS) is responsible for managing cloud infrastructure for hundreds of SaaS products developed at Oracle under the GBU umbrella. Oracle GBUs (Global Business Units) include SaaS products used by customers in hospitality, food and beverage, health sciences, construction and communications with total yearly revenue in excess of US 5 billion. Within the GBUCS family, we are a small team that develops and operates the GBUCS portal application supporting APIs. The portal APIs are used by 100s of GBU GBUCS engineers to help them with their day to day operations. The GBUCS portal provides a Web User Interface for various essential infrastructure services such as ticketing, monitoring, assets, etc. Our goal is to provide a new and improved end user experience that makes our infrastructure engineering teams more efficient as we aspire to better serve our GBU customers. Our team follows the DevOps model the AGILE programming method.
About the job This job requires somebody who has past experience building web applications and is ready to take on the challenge of building a new, modern web application that will improve the efficiency of our engineering team. This role gives you an opportunity to design, develop and operate a web application from ground up while leveraging the Oracle Javascript Extension Toolkit (OJET), which is a toolkit for Javascript developers. This role will challenge you technically aesthetically on the UI front but will also give you an opportunity to understand what it takes to build and support a SaaS application. You will work with partner teams as you look to leverage their functionality ( APIs) and provide a great user experience. You will work closely with our Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and GBUCS engineering teams to design and plan software features for the GBUCS portal. You will listen to feedback from our users as you continuously look at ways to improve our application. About you A successful candidate would have ndash 5+ years work experience building web applications as a frontend developer and experience with user interface design. Strong programming skills in Javascript, HTML, CSS and experience with web development frameworkslibraries such as AngularJS, React, Vue.js, Knockout, etc. Knowledge of REST-based Web Services and experience with Object Oriented Programming and Design. Familiarity with WebLogic, Oracle DB, OHS or equivalent technologies.
A Bachelorrsquos
Masterrsquos degree in Computer Science or a similar field A track record of delivering software on time with high quality, using Agile, DevOps, and SRE practices and toolsets. Good written and oral communication skills. Should be able to clearly convey your thoughts and ideas to others. Passion for building great UI, customer focused, seeks to learn and obtain feedback.
