As a participant, you will help drive exceptional and efficient customer experiences through transformative projects and initiatives, from FinTech partnerships and digital payments to modern application environments and cloud computing. Based on your skills and interests, you will be placed in one of several tracks. Tracks include software development and engineering, network and systems engineering, data engineering, and testing. - Architecture As a software engineer, you will work alongside a group of talented engineers as you pursue a broad range of initiatives. By leveraging your technical skills and thirst for innovation, you will produce disruptive technologies that will ensure Citizens' market leadership. The Software Engineer l will be responsible for Designing, modifying, developing and implementing technology solutions ensuring components, tools and applications are architecturally sound. Helping to build APIs that support multiple data formats and can integrate easily. Assisting with the delivery of an enterprise-grade Microservices framework that enables rapid development of modern apps. Helping with the implementation of efficient and automated project intake to improve time-to-market. Employing industry best practices to evaluate, correct and prevent vulnerabilities during the software development process. Participating in code and design reviews to ensure that solutions meet current enterprise standards. Participating in an environment rapidly transforming to the Agile methodology, adhering to best practices and collaborating effectively with your team mates.
NOTE THIS PROGRAM IS LOCATED IN JOHNSTON, RI Program Information Within this program, you'll also have the opportunity to participate concurrently in Early Career Development Programming (ECDP)
- a robust, 4-month program designed to give our new colleagues a strong foundation of Citizens. Through the ECDP, you'll experience 2-day Orientation in downtown Boston with all bank-wide development program colleagues Professional development workshops (such as Agile Methodologies and Presence Presentation) Customer and client site visits Networking opportunities with senior leadership Dedicated community service activities Strategic Challenge where you'll work in small teams to solve for an organizational problem and present your recommendations to a panel of executives NOTE THIS FULL-TIME PROGRAM BEGINS IN EARLY JUNE 2021
QualificationsWhat you'll need to apply Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other technology-related degree Expected graduation date of May 2021 Minimum GPA 3.0 Experience in software development Demonstrated ability to operate in a team environment strong interpersonal and communication skills Understanding of multiple programming languages, including at least one front end framework (Angular
ReactVue), such as Python3, Java, Java
