Sr. Full-Stack .NET Software Developer

Summary

The Senior Full- Stack .NETSoftware Developer will have a passion for design and architecture to transform our FinTech SaaS products and services. This role requires full-stack experience in several important Microsoft .NET technologies: front-end/web technologies such as Angular all the way through backend technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET and other frameworks with C# as the main programming language. This candidate will also have expertise in SQL Server in the design and development of high availability databases. They should have experience consuming and building APIs using REST/JSON and/or SOAP/XML. They would also have experience working with cloud technologies specifically Azure. Additionally, they would act as a mentor for the development team and aid in driving offshore resources. This candidate should be willing to learn new technologies as they come along to help the company stay at the forefront of state-of-the-art software development.

  • Understand emerging web and mobile development models.
  • Adopt and communicate new concepts, ideas, techniques, and best practices.
  • Perform application level design, debug, and performance analysis.
  • Responsible for SDLC from development to deployment and postproduction support of enterprise applications.
  • Design and implement cloud native applications with performance, scalability, security and stability in mind.
  • Implement integrations between internal application as well as third party APIs.
  • Proactively work and communicate across internal and external teams to implement solutions.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Create proof of concept (POC) models to test potential new approaches and new technologies.
  • Work closely with the IT Infrastructure team to ensure proper configurations and best practices are used.
  • Develop complex SQL queries and reports that will be consumed by internal applications.
  • Design and implement microservices using .NET Core, REST APIs with a domain driven design approach.
  • Migrate portions of legacy monolith applications and research NoSQL technologies like MongoDB/CouchDB to identify the right tools for migrations.
  • Develop software using a test-driven mentality and using standard git feature workflows.
  • Successful track record of developing quality software products and shipping production ready software.
  • Has mentored junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices and DevOps trade-offs.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.

This job operates in a professional office environment.

Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role; however, building development and on-premises solutions may require physical ability.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a salaried position based out of our San Diego office.

Compensation

$140,000 a year

Required Education and

Experience

  • Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years of experience designing and developing enterprise applications.
  • Expertise in Microsoft stack including .NET Core.
  • A strong understanding of object-oriented development, use of design patterns, and system design is required.
  • The ideal candidate will be a solutions-oriented developer who not only understands best practices but should be able explain easily to other developers the reasons when choosing a particular design pattern or best practice.
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach other developers.
  • Expert in designing, developing, and deploying cloud native applications in Azure.
