WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: The Solutions Architect will link the business mission, strategy, and processes of an organization to its IT strategy with primary focus on web, mobile and cloud-based application services using the Microsoft technology stack. As a technical expert, this individual will also actively participate in the mentorship and development of junior
- to mid software engineers and architects. Actively mentors/coaches junior teammates to deliver technological solutions that provide value and meet departmental objectives. Fosters a spirit of teamwork and unity among teammates that allows for disagreement over ideas with expeditious resolution and appreciation for diversity, sparking cohesiveness and an effective working dynamic. Provides technical support as needed. Supports the new enterprise architecture (called ENCORE) and evaluates roadmaps for opportunity to improve/modernize legacy processes including cloud strategy, DevOps, and technical delivery excellence. Works with rest of the members of the architecture portfolio to make recommendations in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture strategies, processes, methodologies and models. Identifies and recommends new solutions for research and participates in proof of concept initiatives to explore new architectural strategies. Promotes the adoption of the Security Development Lifecycle (SDL) and integration of it in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to raise security awareness in application development. Evaluates architecture needs and gaps, buy versus build evaluations, prototype/pilot, and presents compelling solutions. Develops and maintain high-level architecture design documents to facilitate integration of in-house development project and/or vendor based application within the existing enterprise architecture. Assists with hiring and onboarding new members of different DEV teams HOW YOU’D FIT IN: Education:  B.A. / B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology strongly preferred.
A Combination of other certifications/experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience:  Significant experience (15+ years) in software engineering and application development including 7+ years in enterprise, application, technical or information architecture design. Expertise in architecture frameworks is required. Certifications : Required:
AWS Architect and/or Microsoft Azure Architect Technical Skills : Demonstrates strong technical knowledge of application delivery methods and how portfolios of systems work together to create enterprise solutions. Proven experience in designing and developing multi-tiered enterprise systems. Advanced knowledge in mobile and cloud computing and experience in migrating on premise workloads to the cloud. Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple platforms. Strong knowledge of security (risks and threats, authentication, authorization, certificates, encryptions) and familiarity with OWASP. Experience in modern software development environment that is Agile, and incorporates CI/CD and DevOps (continuous integration and continuous delivery). Outstanding knowledge of domain specific areas including .NET Core, C#, ASP.Net, Entity Framework, MVC, SQL Server, EF Core, DDD Microservices oriented architecture. Previous experience with Web UI technologies (i.e. Java Script, CSS/SCSS/LESS, using MVC, Bootstrap, Kendo UI, JQuery). Experience with multiple Java
Script frameworks including Angular, React, Native, Node.js. Experience with hybrid mobile app frameworks like React Native. Experience with REST APIs, Dependency Injection, Dapper, test automation components. Experience with the following platforms/technologies: Microservices, NoSQL, AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, Service Fabric and Logic App. Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2015 or 2017 (or higher), TFS/Git and AzureDevOps.
