The Data Protection Group drives the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering delivery of the Veritas products, which includes NetBackup, APTARE, Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV), EV.cloud, eDiscovery platform, and Veritas SaaS Backup.

What you will be doing:

  • Work in a highly collaborative agile team, actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining enterprise software in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Participating in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos
  • Communicating and collaborating across teams in a multinational environment
  • Delivering world-class backup and recovery software on an aggressive release cadence

What skills, experience and education you need as a team member to succeed:

  • MS/BS in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field of study with 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated passion for quality and innovation with a customer-first attitude
  • Excellent software engineering skills.
  • Experience developing highly secure, scalable, enterprise scale applications.
  • Good knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies including test-driven development, continuous integration.
  • Ability to translate business requirements, wireframes and creative concepts into working software.
  • Strong development experience writing RESTful API s, OOD/OOP and multi-threaded application development using Enterprise Java and Spring Framework.
  • Must have a minimum 2+ years of experiencing inSpring, OData, Tomcat, JPA, JDBC, OAuth, SAML, Hibernate.
  • Working knowledge of Web technologies such as Angular, HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
  • Experience programming on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Hands on experience doing data modeling, normalization and writing compound SQL queries with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase.

Highly Desired:

  • Experience with continuous software delivery model.
  • Experience with NoSQL and graph database such as MongoDB and Neo4j.
  • Exposure to enterprise product development.
  • Development experience in Perl, Python and shell scripting is a plus.
  • Development experience in C/C++ is a plus
  • Working knowledge of containers and container orchestration systems.
  • Knowledge of micro-services architecture.
