Responsibilities

The Sponsor provides support with enterprise search, digital forensic and analytic applications to a cadre of analysts with specialized skills. The Sponsor is building a modern cloud-based system to replace a legacy standalone system. Team members work in a multitasking, quick-paced, dynamic, process-improvement environment that requires experience with large-scale (Terabytes) database and application development, large-scale file manipulation, data modeling, data mapping, data testing, data quality, documentation preparation, visualizations, dashboards, and user interfaces. These elements allow the analysts to view, and interact with, structured and unstructured data. The Sponsor uses an agile development methodology with 2-3 week sprint planning cycles. Work as a member of a team. Support and develop a cloud hosted web application user interface. Create interactive graphics. Create displays supporting analysis. Create documentation supporting team activities. Convert existing requirements to cloud requirements. Transition the current standalone system to the Sponsor's AWS cloud environment. Enhance the web application's functionality, user interface, and accessibility. Build tools for use by the team at the Sponsor's direction. Provide life cycle support to the application in the AWS environment. Ensure the application meets Industry and Sponsor UI/UX development Best Practices. Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS SOFTWARE ENGINEER IV Performs complex analysis, design, development, testing and debugging of computer software in support of distinct product hardware or technical devices Designs, develops and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design Designs or implements complex database or data repository interfaces/queries Develops or implements algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards Develops and executes test procedures for software components Writes or reviews software and system documentation Develops software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or systems engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas Activities range from operating systems architecture integration and software design to selection of computer systems, languages and/or equipment May participate in the development of technical proposal submissions and white papers May direct and supervise the activity of lower level software engineers to support a specific task/project

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Top Secret/SCI with FullScope Poly Bachelor's Degree Demonstrated experience leading a technical team of developers Demonstrated experience developing interactive web user interfaces with Angular 8+ Demonstrated experience developing and using REST web services Demonstrated experience working with the full, end to end, web stack Demonstrated experience developing in an AWS cloud environment Demonstrated experience developing using Python Demonstrated experience developing with Elastic.
Search Demonstrated experience with relational database technologies such as RDS and PostGRES EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BY LEVEL: 7 - 12 Years PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated experience with the Sponsor's cloud technology Demonstrated experience developing machine learning models on text data Demonstrated experience developing machine learning models on structured datasets Demonstrated experience developing with a full-suite infrastructure (automated unit testing, code deployment and compliance, etc.) Demonstrated experience developing with nodejs Demonstrated experience developing with Delta.
Lake and Databricks software Demonstrated experience using the Jenkins automated build tool Demonstrated experience using data pipelines and workflow technologies such as Apache NiFi Certification: Amazon Web Services (AWS) Developer PHYSICAL
