Service Now Programmer Job Number Full/Part Time Schedule Salary 202#######21 Full Time 8AM
- 5PM Commensurate with Experience Position Information In support of the IT Service Management (ITSM) initiative, the Service Now Programmer, in collaboration with the Service Now Lead and Senior Developer, will support the development and implementation of optimizing enterprise service management processes, and improving service delivery and collaboration within and across business functions. The Service Now Programmer, with assistance from the Senior Developer and Service Now Lead, will serve as a developer for UC Riverside staff, faculty, and students configuring and building modules, forms, and workflows in the ServiceNow Platform to positively align with business strategies and affect business and student outcomes. This position will use the ITIL framework to provide technical assistance, workflow development, software configuration, customization, and web service integrations. This may also include providing administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support. This is a one year contract appointment with the possibility of extension or conversion to a career appointment if funding permits. In addition, this position will work remotely full-time.




Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Certifications Certification Requirement ServiceNow Certified System Administrator


ServiceNow Application Developer Certification Preferred
Experience Experience Requirement 2 - 4 years of related experience.


Experience in coding, custom development, configuring, and supporting complex workflows and applications in ServiceNow Platform. Preferred
Special Conditions Special Condition Requirement Must pass a background check.


Occasional travel for University-related business meetings, conferences, and developmental opportunities. Required


Experience with common programming tools.
Demonstrated ability to follow software specifications.
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of other IT related areas.
Demonstrated software repository skills.
Intermediate skills associated with the design, development, modification and deployment of software, including object-oriented programming concepts.
Knowledge of secure software development.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
PreferredQualifications High degree of proficiency in Java
Script, HTML, CSS/SASS, and Angular.
Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT Service Management
