Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer Candidates MUST have the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance to be considered Key Tasks: Full Agile development of web based enterprise solutions utilizing J2EE. Develop and integrate solutions using various open source architectures. Lead technical discussions to provide guidelines and approach to team. Collaborate with team to design new features and functionality. Present solution and release information to stakeholders including a Technical Review Board for various gate reviews. Support security assessments as required. Serve as a mentor to technical team. Monitor progress against deliverables, employing effective risk and issue management strategies. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with CMS stakeholders and other contractors.
Skills: 10+years as a technical lead or senior developer building multi-tier, enterprise web-based solutions using technologies/frameworks such as J2EE, Spring MVC, JBoss, Fuse, MQ, RDBMS, AWS, SOA, AngularJS. 12+ years in one or more technical disciplines (e.g. architecture, process re-engineering, development, verification). 3 – 7 years estimating, planning, and executing complex projects using Agile methodologies Developing systems with Section 508 compliance. Building strong customer relationships through Agile team(s) and personal performance. 2 – 3 years supporting CMS Medicare or Medicaid programs. Collaborating in a multiple contractor environment. Exceptionally strong communication skills, verbal and written. Includes the ability to effectively communicate complex information to audiences with varying technical and system backgrounds and at multiple organizational levels. Desired Skills: Proven experience with: Supporting client stakeholders with varying levels of Agile experience Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel. Desired (pluses): Master's in Information Systems or Computer Science. Expertise in Secure Coding and Secure Development Life Cycle. Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
