Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer Job Description is the leading online apartment rental listing website, offering property, commuter, and neighborhood information for more than 1,000,000 available units nationwide.

You will be integral in architecting and implementing the next generation of our Apartments Network technology platform.
A Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and troubleshooting high performance and high availability applications to meet the company's strategic objectives. Heshe is also responsible for adhering to CoStar's development frameworks best practices and follow CoStar's SDLC processes You will be integral in architecting and implementing the next generation of our Apartments technology platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES Implement web based software solutions Document and publish requirement, design and functional specifications for use by internal teams Implement new software functionality using state-of-the-art industry standard frameworks Evaluate existing solutions and propose and implement improvements and extensions as required by the overall architecture of the product Participate in the evaluation and resolution of defect ticket reports for new as well as legacy components Contribute to the team's software development life-cycle improvement initiatives by utilizing standard practices as well proposing areas of improvement
- design, planning, implementation, testing, and documentation Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience. Minimum of 3 years of proven software development experience. Excellent knowledge of C, Java, or Java
Script. Ability to develop backend services that scale to meet CoStar's concurrency and performance requirements using C, Type
Script, and Java. Deep web application development experience and fluency with Java
Script, CSS, and HTML. Full-stack experience, including knowledge of database schema design, stored procedures, and SQL. Understanding of OOP and SOLID design principles. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Must be autonomous, committed, flexible, and customer-focused.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Experience with one of modern JS frameworks, including React, Angular, or Vue. Experience with Elastic
Search. Experience with functional programming. Experience with Inversion of Control design patterns. Experience building RESTful services. Experience of unit, integration, and performance testing. Experience in software development and engineering skills on large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure applications. Experience in multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
