Senior React/Angular JavaScript Engineer


The Tuxedo Design System streamlines software development processes and promotes application development efficiency, accessibility, and sound design practices across our Global Technology (GT) applications, by providing those application teams with a library of pre-built UI components and established design guidelines. Our Tuxedo Developers are considered to be some of the foremost front-end Developers across all of JPMC. They engage directly with our client community to best understand their needs, are involved in numerous complex projects, and deliver initiatives that will have broad ranging impacts across the entire Firm.


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities. The following list is in priority order (from most to least important): A sound understanding of how design translates to code Proven experience working with the latest Javascript trends and standards (Node.js, npm, Webpack, Angular, React, Sass/CSS, HTML) Proficiency with WCAG conformance and the ability to apply that to development practices A passion for creative problem solving and creating complex components and UIs Experience building a component library following Atomic Design principles Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities on tight deadlines without compromising quality Strong comprehension of industry standard processes (Agile/Scrum) and tools (such as VSCode, git, Bitbucket, Jira). Experience working within a user-centric design process that involves rapid testing and iteration of designs Experience with standard UX software such as Sketch and Invision Why Us ?
