Commerce Development / Magento Solutions Architect
Overview: We’re seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our IT team as the Senior Manager of eCommerce Development / Magento Solutions Architect. This role will be focused on providing management and code development that increases speed to market and reduces total cost of ownership, while improving ecosystem stability and health. The Senior Manager of eCommerce Development / Magento Solutions Architect will join a team contributing to the development of RAI’s eCommerce websites hosted on Magento 2. In this critical role, you will be responsible for code development and code standards for our sites and IT partners that support the eCommerce ecosystem and integration. Exceptional communication and influencing skills are essential attributes necessary for this role to facilitate, communicate, and deliver business outcomes.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager of eCommerce Development / Magento Solutions Architect is accountable for ensuring our eCommerce platforms are well controlled, operating effectively and aligned with business needs. In addition to daily business support tasks, this role is responsible for assisting in identifying and implementing process improvements to these systems and other core systems. Leads your team and stakeholders to plan new features and provide sprint planning and story points allowing the team to optimize outcomes that provide the most value to the customer and the organization. Train and mentor the development team on frameworks/platforms & best practices
Breaks down features into manageable user stories to allow for easier coding, reviewing, testing and approval. Implements and maintains coding standards. Reviews others code to ensure delivery of high-quality functionality and leads an environment of learning and code excellence. Writes clean, readable, adaptable and quality code. Focuses on continuous integration and/or continuous delivery strategies providing optimal feedback loops for the team
Builds test automation and practices test driven development

Specific Experience/Education/Certification

Requirements

Requires advanced knowledge of eCommerce ecosystems typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Will have practical knowledge of agile project management. Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience.

Professional Experience:5+ years of experience with architecting and implementing Magento solutions2+ years of Magento 2 Cloud experience
Experience with MySQL, PHP, Java
Script, HTML5/CSSExperience with Web Services GraphQL/REST/SOAP/WSDL/XML/SOAExperience managing the eCommerce Full Stack
Knowledge of UI frameworks (Angular, React etc)Micro-services knowledge – architecture, structure, and implementation
Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Gitlab, Azure DevOps or similar)Strong Knowledge of Magento Extensions and Magento APIs. Experience with AWS cloud ITOExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
Experience in designing scalable solutions
