The Power Platform Lead Architect is responsible for leading the design and deployment of form, workflow automation and virtual agent solutions for business process using the Microsoft Power Platform. This role will be responsible for strategic and tactical advice and ownership of the domain architecture and data and application governance. The incumbent understands business process and understands how to proactively seek opportunities to improve and automate them, and manage application, information, and technology architectures; and works to ensure solutions are supportable and sustainable and enable the organization to achieve its goal. This position is part of the Power Platform program within the Digital Workplace team in Corporate IT at Sherwin Williams. The goal of this team, and this position, is to provide capabilities for our employees worldwide to help improve their productivity and engagement, by making it easier for them to improve their business process. Essential Functions Strategy & Planning•Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for strategic architecture plans, system design, and implementation standards for the domain.•Lead efforts to ensure platform IT capabilities are operating efficiently, accurately, and with high quality.•Develop standards and guidelines to guide domain technology strategy.•Identify and evaluate industry trends in the Power Platform technologies, to serve as a source of information and advice for key stakeholders. Research tools to identify those that can best help serve the needs of clients.•Collaborate and gains consensus across platforms to ensure best practices, enterprise standards, best of breed, quality, and solving of complex problems.•Ensure that applications/domain meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.•Actively engage business to understand vision and ensure business needs are met.•Ensure efficient use of application/domain systems utilizing established standards, procedures and methodologies. And develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems•Provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.•Provide governance and stewardship for future information technology planning within the domain.•Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices, standard processes and local variations due to customer, legal or business mandates.•Strives to keep knowledge and expertise current with new releases, technology advances and analyzes potential opportunities and risks in adopting upcoming versions of application technology.•Challenge current state and influence strategic change. Acquisition & Deployment•Gather requirements, analyzes, creates design documents, and performs impact analysis for platform process changes.•Plan and organize tasks, reports progress, manages and coordinates with business users for program implementations.•Develop processes, guidelines and framework for rapid citizen development and deployment of services. •Mitigate significant risks associated with large projects, which require new processes and/or involve significant changes to existing processes.•Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.•Assist in developing project plans, track project deliverables and meet dedicated timelines.•Ability to collaborate with business and technical resources to understand and develop solutions that meet business requirements, translating strategy and objectives when necessary
Operational Management•Perform solution architecture consulting for Power Platform and related domains. •Develop solutions to leverage Power Platform functionality and suggest process improvements. •Provide operational guidelines to ensure projects are completed within the appropriate framework.•Provide regular, clear, and consistent communication (written and oral) on the status of projects, issues, and deliverables to representatives from the customer/vendor. •Develop and maintain understanding of key processes, schedules, cycles, profiles, etc. for the technical systems in use by business. •Work with vendor technical support to facilitate analysis of and resolution to technical issues.•Plan & lead testing efforts for a deployment, including creating test plans, test cases, test scripts and performs functional & technical testing.•Work with existing systems to track and manage requests and issues.•Lead efforts to develop and maintain the architectural assets for the domain.•Support domain asset lifecycle management Incidental Functions •Assist with various projects as may be required to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the work.•Maintain current knowledge of the technology workspace in terms of current state, future possibilities, forthcoming technologies, and their relevance and impact.•Drive Power Platform domain development with technology design considerations. •Mentor other team members as needed.•Participate in hiring activities and fulfilling affirmative action obligations and ensuring compliance with the equal employment opportunity policy.•Minor travel may be required (domestic and international).•Work outside the standard office 7.5-hour workday may be required. Position Requirements Formal Education & Certification•Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience. Knowledge & Experience•10+ years of IT experience.•5+ years of development experience on distributed platforms.•3+ years of experience in Solution Architecture.•2+ years of experience in leading architecture and design for Power Platform or Microsoft technology implementations highly preferred. •2+ years of experience working with Graph API for access to Share
Point, Teams, Exchange, and Azure resources•2+ years of experience in automation of deployments and monitoring of platform using Power
Shell•2+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-level applications using .NET, C#, WPF, WCF, MVC, Rest Web APIs, and SQL Server•2+ years of experience HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and common client-side frameworks such as Bootstrap, jQuery, Angular
