Perm IS Application Developer

Kelly IT has an opening for a Perm IS Application Developer to work with our client in Portland, OR Duration: Perm   SUMMARY The Application Developer III will have a passion for defining the direction of corporate applications and websites, along with a desire to design and develop effective solutions which support business strategies.  This role is essential toward maturing our web and business application model. The successful candidate will spend substantial time partnering with business leaders, architecting, and implementing IS policies and systems (plan, design, install, and maintain).    RESPONSIBILITIES  Application and Web Design Lead the design and maintenance of internal business applications and websites.
Provide web and application design expertise to the organization; participate and consult on projects.
Advise other IS teams on best practices of web and application design.
May serve as a resource to junior developers.
Application and Web Development Develop websites and applications for advanced to complex activities and provide escalation support for tickets.
Develop advanced databases to meet application and web needs.
Analyze business needs; partner with leaders across the organization to research and recommend solutions which balance business need and risk mitigation.
Develop and maintain appropriate technology documentation, including current design and operation.
Standards and Policy Administration Author and serve as subject matter expert to define requirements, standards, and best practices for application and web development.
Monitor and continually review existing systems to ensure they are designed to comply with established standards and to empower business operations.
Vendor Coordination and Relations Conduct product and vendor research, and present recommendations to lead developer and/or management.
Establish and manage effective relations with vendors and related equipment suppliers, including installation and repair of services.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Minimum 5 years of application/web development required.  Experience should include most or all the following:
Application development and maintenance Web development and maintenance Database development and maintenance Systems analysis and design Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred Agile/Scrum methodology Advanced knowledge of:
MVC framework Angular2 Visual Studio and SQL Server TypeScript/JavaScript C# and ASP.NET Design patterns Testing framework, unit testing, and integration Strong troubleshooting of system performance issues and root cause Working knowledge of Design patterns Working knowledge of testing framework, unit testing and integration Strong communication skills, including listening, verbal, written, customer service, meeting facilitation, and presentations.  Ability to clearly articulate policies, instructions, goals, and objectives.  Able to convey appropriate level of detail effectively to all levels of the organization including non-technical staff.
