Design Engineering team is looking for a frontend engineer to help drive our timelines and prototypes forward. This role is to support our Entertainment, Connected Living, and DotCom verticals. About The Team
The XD Engineering team bridges the gap between design and development. We are a cross-org, and cross-disciplined team that has a passion for user experience and the fine details that come along with it. We care about pixels, animations, problem solving, and pushing the limits of technology. Our suite of work covers product experiences from television to mobile to hardware to the web and beyond. As we grow, we are looking for talented engineers that develop with a design agenda. Our goal is to create beautiful and intuitive products that put the user journey first. We collaborate closely with designers to build and vet new insights for the future in real scenarios (like user testing). We make it easier to do our best work and enjoy building internal tools to help our teammates and design align. Through this process, you will have an avenue to promote new products and sell upwards to other leadership teams!
We develop with the end product in mind and use real APIs to suss out any development snags before it gets handed over to production engineers. Javascript (and all of its frameworks) is our bread and butter, but we also dabble in a variety of languages whatever we need to use (or learn!) to get the job done. Our focus is to hone the look and feel of the product, to really push the possibilities of design inside a development environment. Responsibilities.
Leading a project end to end.
Estimating Scope, writing issues/tickets.
Responsible for delegation, development, deployment and delivery.
Communicate with PM and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with designers to determine what is technically feasible based on goals and timeline.
Develop beautiful and intuitive experiences that can be used for: Vetting design decisions, User research and testing.
Coordinate Executive demos and delivery for production.

Requirements

5+ years of production experience in frontend development.
Working experience in javascript and a major framework like angular or react.
Strong UX and design sensibilities, and a desire to sweat the small stuff.
Experience developing reusable UI elements (forms, buttons, modals, etc.)Skilled in styling/animating/componentizing in SassComp matching from Sketch files.
Familiar with applying motion in development (css / javascript)Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
A self-starter, ability to manage a project end-to-end.
