The entry-level Junior Webmaster is responsible for making sure the Foundationâ€s digital ecosystem, anchored by our website (epilepsy), is meeting user needs and organizational expectations. This support position includes helping post content, aiding the online community, and assisting with engagement strategies. Such strategies include building and sending e-newsletter communications and social media postings. The Junior Webmaster will also assist with search engine optimization (SEO) and other backend content management system functions to help maintain rankings on key indicators and engines. The Junior Webmaster will serve an integral part of the Foundationâ€s Digital Strategy team, supporting the overall work of maintaining the digital ecosystem, including adding content collateral to the core site, sub-sites, and social media platforms. In addition, the Junior Webmaster will interact with the larger communications and marketing team to assist with public awareness and fundraising messaging. The Junior Webmaster will also help monitor and report on analytics and trends, helping show that the Foundationâ€s digital ecosystem is matching and supporting the overall mission objectives of the organization. To be successful as a Junior Webmaster you should be able to work well in a team, collaborating with managers, designers, writers, etc. As an exceptional Junior Webmaster, you should have excellent technical skills and a good understanding of creative online marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help determine the Foundationâ€s website needs and requirements
Coordinate with the web team to maintain, update, and optimize CMS and servers
Monitor and analyze site performance
Triage, address and respond to user comments and complaints
Coordinate with staff and editors the publishing of provided content for placement within the digital ecosystem, including website, newsletters and social media platforms
Oversee the eNewsletter send schedule, including building relevant new web content pages to be featured
Manage and help coordinate content calendars for eNewsletter and social media postings
Ensure content has proper tagging and referencing for Search Engine Optimization and Social Referral
Support staff with analytical needs and digital ecosystem technical requests Monitor and report on Web site traffic and performance.
Degree in computer science or a related field preferred.
