JavaScript Technical Lead - Clarity

At Citi, we use cutting edge technology to make a real difference for our clients. The Clarity team is part of the wider Securities Services Technology team. Our platform as a big data analytics platform providing rich visualizations and customization features. As a web based technology, we use Java
Script/Typescript as our core languages and a variety of tools and products. We are looking for a Java
Script Technical Lead to join us in our mission to build out the next generation analytics platform. You will be enthusiastic about designing and building high quality software; you will enjoy mentoring colleagues and raising the standards of the whole team; you will appreciate the real world impact of the engineering decisions we make.


Write client and server side code in Java
Script/Typescript and using web tools and platforms
Contribute to the architectural direction of the platform
Lead the development of features and components
Share your DevOps experience to improve the tools and processes used within the team
Contribute your ideas on the choice of technologies to build solutions
Collaborate with partner teams across development, infrastructure, support and the business
Provide third line support for the platform
Work with and manage teams across multiple time zones Qualifications: 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
Demonstrated excellence in full stack software development, with Java
Script/Typescript as primary skills but likely to have experience of other languages too
Expert level Java
Script/Typescript skills ideally gained in a large scale SPA applications
Expert level of expertise of MEAN stack applications, including Express and Angular 9+Experience of Jest, Webpack, NP
M and the Java
Script ecosystem
Experience of Scrum and agile methodologies
Experience of leading a small team of developers or a desire and confidence to step upFamiliarity with containers
- you are comfortable at a command lineAn ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
A strong team ethic, happy to work with distributed teams across multiple time zones
A strong belief in testing and code review as a core part of the development process


Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
