Job Description

Assists Mechanical Instrument Calibrator WG-10, in the operation of a precision tool issue and pre-check function located in the tool crib. Maintains the Metrology Automated System for Uniform Recall and reporting(Measure). Performs inventory and accountability of all Mechanical Test Measure and Diagnostic Equipment used for angular and dimensional metrology, torque and RPM measurement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Must have knowledge of Automated Tool Control procedures and operation of Tool Issue Computer Terminal
Shall have the ability to carry up to 50 lbs.
Manual inventory count of stock on hand and daily inventory for stock adjustment
Physical transportation of and coordinating the calibration of the instruments with various calibration laboratories. ,
Assist in documenting, recording and filing the numerous reports and instructions that support the Measure and ATCS Systems.
Make minor repairs to precision instruments, assists mechanic in the operation and use of standard precision measure machines, associated equipment, hand tools.
Shallcomply with all NFPC procedures for safety, fall protection and hazardous materials.
Shall assist in developing and implementing engineering process controls/techniques for continuous improvement of machining and assembly operations.
Shall perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications

Required for the Position.
Minimum 3 years of experience working in or supporting an industrial facility.
