Full Stack Technical Developer

Northern Trust is looking for a Full Stack Technical Developer to join its Asset Management Investment Administration Technology team. This individual as part of an Agile development team, will be responsible for analysis, design and development of user interface and web services components that meet business and technical requirements. Major Duties.
Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle. Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable applications by translating requirements and use cases into functional components. Provides technical expertise at the highest level including training/leadership/guidance to other application or infrastructure architecture staff, ensuring secure coding and robust architecture guidelines are met. Thoroughly understands decision process issues of technology choice, such as capacities, response time, data interfacing, client server communication, industry standard technologies and new industry trends, etc. Provides in-depth technical consultation to the clients, partners, and IT management to develop plans and directions to assure the integration of corporate business area requirements. Works within an Agile scrum team framework. Taking stories and tasks through sprint, participates actively with product backlog refinement, daily standup and bi-weekly sprint boundary meetings. Consults with partners from systems and other business units regarding new techniques, practices, or technologies in data processing and the impact of proposed and ongoing projects. Provides L2 Support for production environment, assist in diagnosis and resolution of incidents, and maintain stability and integrity of application and systems. Develops and executes software deployment/migration plans and ensures robust quality software components are installed into production environment during change management cycles. Knowledge/Experience.
Agile Methodologies Scrum, Kanban and a mindset for Continuous Improvement/Delivery. Knowledge of Front-end UI interface frameworks, Java, Application servers. Knowledge of full software development lifecycle. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. A positive goal oriented attitude with a focus on delivery.

Required Skills

Experience in UI/UX Design User Experience design patterns, Responsive Web Design, Accessibility and Animation. Expertise in Front end technologies
- JavaScript Framework and libraries
- ReactJS, Redux, JavaScript (ES6+), JQuery3, AngularJSExpertise in Web markup languages
- HTML5, CSS3, CSS Pre-processing, DOMExpertise with Web Services(JAX-WS), Service Oriented Architecture (SOAP/REST APIs) and messaging technologies MQ and JMS.Server side scripting NodeJS, Python and Java. Experience in Version Control (Git/BitBucket/VCS/SVN)Expertise with data exchange technologies XML, XSL Transforms, JSON.Expertise with continuous integration tools: Maven, Gradle, Bamboo, TFS, ANT and Sonar. Expertise with app security scanning applications like AppSpider and Check.
Marx. Experience in IDEs IntelliJ iDea, MS CODE and/or Eclipse, and Browser Dev Tools ChromeDev. Experience working on cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS and Saas) PCF (Pivotal)Experience in SQL Database technologies Oracle 12g or higher, Writing Stored Procedures.
Knowledge of Data Architecture concepts, Data modeling and Design.
Recommended: Knowledge in Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) Web security, SAML/OAUTH and Authentication protocols. Experience in UI designer tools like Invision, Zepplin and Sketch. Knowledge in developing Progressive Web Application (PWA)Experience in NOSQL Database technologies MongoDB, MarkLogic, and/or HBASE.Testing Frameworks like Junit, Mocha and Jasmine. Experience in financial services.
Financial Domain experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Overall 10+ Years of Industry experience in IT.Experience in agile development methodology. Experience as hands-on software developer. Additional Information
